About the opportunity
As Maintenance Fitter, you will be an integral part of a team that provides practical mechanical engineering support for all our Lumber operational areas. You will be responsible for ensuring overall plant availability and reliability, scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and investigating, diagnosing and repairing any machinery breakdowns.

About you
- Love problem solving
- Proactive and willing to take ownership of any issues that arise
- Able to prioritise tasks and work cohesively as an integral member of a small shift team
- Strong health and safety focus
- Able to sustain a high level of energy and composure
- Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial enviroment
- Experience in diagnostics and fault-finding
- Sound knowledge of engineering principles, standards and procedures
- Strong work ethic with a proactive can-do attitude
- NZQA Level 4 Mechanical Engineering Trade Certificate (or similar) is preferred
- Able to work night shift
