Desktop Support Technician
Looking to make a change in 2020? We have an opportunity to join a fun and collaborative Desktop Support team.
As a Desktop Support Technician you'll be working in a small team reporting directly to the IT Desktop Services Manager.
About the role
This is a key role responsible for providing high quality, professional, prompt and efficient first level application and network support for approx. 400 employees at our Whirinaki mill site just north of Napier.
As the Company's first point of contact for technology issues, you will take ownership of all issues raised, identify priorities, troubleshoot and problem solve and communicate to end users whilst adhering to SLA guidelines This will require a combination of strong IT customer support skills and sound administration and documentation discipline.
You'll be someone who is customer focussed and uses a "can do" approach to ensure a first class user experience. Your communication skills (both written and verbal) will be top notch allowing you to influence service outcomes whilst remaining calm in pressure situations. You'll ideally have an IT tertiary qualification and a minimum of 4 years' IT support experience in a large organisation with significant time sensitive IT support needs.
As our Desktop Services provides IT support for a number of business systems, in-depth knowledge of the following is essential:
- Active Directory User Management
- Windows 10
- Microsoft Office Products incl O365
