Wood Purchase Co-ordinator
Due to an internal promotion we have an opportunity to advance your career in a key role as a Wood Purchase
Co-ordinator based in sunny Hawkes Bay.
About the opportunity
Working alongside the Wood Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for purchasing external wood resources and developing relationships with farmers and private forest owners ensuring ongoing future log supply.
No day will be the same as you'll be actively involved in liaising, negotiating and purchasing private forest lots in the Hawkes Bay region, monitoring and overseeing harvesting of those forests, managing financial outcomes associated with purchases and developing strategies to ensure future growth of our wood purchase business.
About the person
Our main focus is on people who come with a positive, can do attitude and are motivated to learn. Preference will be given to those who have Forestry experience (min 2-3 years) in log purchasing, harvesting and roading and looking to build on their commercial skills.
To be successful in this role it's imperative you have exceptional interpersonal skills, can initiate, follow through and further develop business opportunities, have a natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships and can operate with a high level of integrity.
